How do I activate my Gatebox License?

Initial Setup:

  • Power on the device

  • Go to gatebox.co.za/activation

  • Enter your device ID, Site name, license reference code, and the site contacts name.


Setting up the Phonebook Database:

In case a visitor doesn't have a code issued by a resident or your site is only using the phonebook functionality, you will need to set up and maintain the phonebook database for your estate/building. For the initial setup of your database you need to upload a spreadsheet with the following details.

  • Every address on-site.

  • Up to 5 contacts per address that will appear on the Gatebox device when visitors use the intercom.

  • A Primary Contact per address that appears first when visitors use the intercom.

Payment (monthly customers only):

Once you've completed the initial activation form you will be sent an invoice as well as your device Login Key which will allow you to start using the device.

(Please note it may take up to 24 hours to receive your login key)
